My beloved husband, my life will never be the same again without you. I truly love you and will pray that we do meet again wherever that may be. We had 56 years of ups and downs but always came through because we loved each other with a vengeance. No one could part us though some did try. You were my rock and my life’s work. I tried so hard to save you from the vile disease that took you, and I’m angry at God for separating us. Rest in pain free peace my darling beautiful man. I’ll always be your Carol .
Will always remember a true gentleman who was very welcoming and extremely good company to be with. I will always remember good times together. Thoughts with Carol & family. At the next AMEX old codgers reunion we will definitely raise a glass or two to Doug. Rest in peace friend. Love Steve & Jackie xx

I'll always remember Doug for his warmth, sense of humour, and hilarious anecdotes. He was a great presence wherever he was and I, like everyone, will miss him greatly.
My dear uncle Doug and great uncle to Henry and India. I have lots of memories from when I was a small child, to being a bridesmaid at his and Carol's wedding, the many family Christmases and other family occasions to working for him at Prefab Steel. We will miss him and his great sense of humour very much. Rest in Peace xxxx
Thank you for setting up this memorial to Doug. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.
I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
